The hotel would begin by creating availability on the online system (a number of interfaces are available to complete this) with rates, minimum nights stay etc. available for each room type, this information is fully customizable by the hotel and can be altered at any time.
Once availability is created a potential guest would then be able to check for a vacancy for a particular date, when a date is found they can then make a reservation and confirm with the payment of an online deposit, the system availability is then adjusted. This is then followed by confirmation of the booking and deposit payment being sent to the hotel for entry into their in-house booking system. All these steps are carried out online without the need for the hotel to do anything.
As potential guests search for dates the system automatically informs the hotel of the enquiry, if availability is short it could then be increased to meet the demand.
